Carrie Gets Set to Hit the Big Screen

Carrie Underwood is adding movie star to her resume…

Sony Music announced today that Carrie has landed a supporting role in “Soul Surfer,” a film based on the story of Bethany Hamilton. Hamilton is the 19-year-old champion surfer who lost her arm in a shark attack at age 13.

Carrie will play Sarah Hill, a church youth leader. The movie stars AnnaSophia Robb as Hamilton, and Helen Hunt and Dennis Quaid as her parents.

Filming begins later this month…
