Simon’s Latest Success Story

Still unsure that Simon Cowell knows what he’s talking about? All you need to do is listen to “Bleeding Love,” the fantastic new song from Leona Lewis. Leona won the third edition of the U.K. show, “X Factor,” which Simon created, with Simon as her mentor (On the show the mentors compete against each other as well to see who has the best artist.). Her winner’s single, a cover of Kelly Clarkson’s “Moment Like This,” broke world records as it was downloaded 50,000 times in thirty minutes. Her debut CD, “Spirit,” was the UK’s fastest-selling debut ever.

And now, she’s heading for stardom in the U.S. First stop—“Oprah.” She will perform “Bleeding Love” on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” Monday, March 17th.

The U.S. version of her CD will hit stores April 8th. For the first time, Simon and Clive Davis joined forces to choose the songs and producers for the album.

Kudos to Simon for not leaving a talent like this to Clive’s devices alone…

By the way, “Bleeding Love” was co-written and produced by Ryan Tedder (OneRepublic), who produced Blake Lewis’ CD…

If you’ve never heard the song, check out the video here…

Don’t be surprised to see her appear on “Idol” later this season…
