The Latest Four to Go Home Speak Out

“Entertainment Weekly” spoke with the four who just missed the top 12, and it’s clear that none of them really have a clue…

Kady Malloy told “EW” that she doesn’t think she did anything wrong with her performance of “Who Wants to Live Forever.” “I guess it wasn’t the popular vote.”

Missing most of the notes is not doing anything wrong? Okay…

When asked about her future plans, Kady said, “People are supposed to, like, call in with offers and stuff, so I’ll just wait.”

I’m just going to let that quote speak for itself…

When “EW” asked Luke Menard why people didn’t vote for him, he was also perplexed. “If anything, maybe because I picked two up-tempo songs back to back. Maybe I was trying to impress them too much with energy and trying to have too much fun up on stage. Maybe not a lot of people are fans of Wham.”

No, Luke, a lot of people are fans of Wham, we’re just not a fan of what you did to them…

Luke said that after he was eliminated, Simon Cowell told him, “You know, you have a great look. This song didn't really work out for you this week, but you have a great look, and I know I'm going to see you doing something on television.”

Notice he didn’t say he was going to see him singing...

Danny Noriega also said he was “really not sure” why he didn’t make it to the top 12. When “EW” asked if Danny thought people didn’t like his in-your-face attitude with Simon, he said, “No, no, no, no, no. The way I'm on stage to Simon and Ryan are totally different to how I am with fans or with other people. That's just my reaction — it's like sarcasm and is just the way we play around with each other. I don't really act like that with random people on the street. It's just more of a sarcastic, telling-off kind of talk. I just want to make that clear: I am not like that 24/7!”

Did he ever think that since we only see what he does on TV that we would think that’s how he is all the time?...

Danny said he’s now going to concentrate on getting into TV and not singing. “Singing is definitely my first love; it's just that it's so hard to do it. You can't please everybody, but especially with singing, people have the most different opinions. People will love you, people will hate you. You have to really do things right with that.”

Asia’h Epperson blamed her departure on performing first. “It wasn’t the song—I loved the song; it was my personality, it was me all the way. I had the vocals. But I really, really, really truly believe it was going first.”

In my recap of the results show, I mentioned that I thought her goodbye performance was much better. I credited that to her focus, but “EW” pointed out that she did it without the backup vocals (not sure why)—which I criticized after her Wednesday performance. Asia’h admitted that the vocals did drown her out…

I agree with her about that, but I obviously don’t agree that it wasn’t the song. It absolutely was…
As Chris from “Project Runway” would say, it’s so cute to see youth…
