Breaking News: Next Week's Theme UPDATED

I interrupt your Friday afternoon with some breaking news...

The theme for next week's show is Michael Jackson.

That's according to Ryan Seacrest, who announced it during his interviews with the Wild Card winners on his radio show this morning.

That's interesting since Paula said singing Michael Jackson was such a bad choice. It's also a bummer for Kris Allen since he already did a Michael Jackson song that you just know someone else will do next week.

And it also makes me wonder...Is the big surprise an appearance by Michael Jackson himself? I can't believe that they would do this theme without at least trying to get him and he is starting to make some more public appearances lately, so...

Hmmm...

UPDATE: MichaelJacksonInsider.com says that the "Judges' Mansion" featured in the Top 36 episode is the house that Michael Jackson is currently leasing. If true, that would certainly lend credence to my theory, wouldn't it?
