The Strike Expands "Idol"

Thanks to the writers’ strike, we’ll get a lot more “Idol” this year…

In addition to several 90-minute performance episodes in February and March, FOX is airing at least four episodes of “Idol” on Thursdays.

One of those will be on April 9th as part of “Idol Gives Back.” Instead of going through the whole “who’s going home” drama during the charity special, the elimination will be on Thursday.

The other Thursday shows are scheduled for February 21st and 28th and March 6th. No word on what those episodes will be…
