Phil Goes Into the Studio

AmericanIdol.com is reporting that Phil Stacey is in Nashville recording a country album.

"USA Today" is reporting that album will be for Lyric Street Records, the home of former "Idol" contestants Bucky Covington and Josh Gracin.

I'm waiting to hear back from my sources at Lyric Street for more on this, but you know I'm pretty excited since I've got nothing but love for Phil.

Phil, if you're reading this, I recommend a live version of "Blaze of Glory" for the CD...

UPDATE: The fine folks at Lyric Street have confirmed for me that yes, Phil is in the studio working on tracks for his debut CD. Kudos to them for recognizing yet another non-winning Idol talent...
