James Durbin Brings Back Rock
I’m a child of the 80s, so I remember the days of the hair bands. You know Poison, Motley Crue, Cinderella—all those bands that cranked out the rock music that made you want to put your rock fingers in the air and bang your head all day long.
It’s been a while since we’ve gotten an album full of that music. But thankfully there is someone out there looking to bring it back—even if he’s not old enough to remember it in the first place…
James Durbin’s new album, “Memories of a Beautiful Disaster” brings back that music in full force. From the opening track, “Higher Than Heaven,” you’ll be banging your head through the whole thing with a few pauses when you’ll want to take out your lighter and sway instead.
If you’re looking for that last minute Christmas gift for the rocker in your life, I totally recommend “Memories.”
And next week, I’ll have a special gift for you as I share my recent interview with James about the album, “American Idol” and what he’s up to now…
