iTunes Throws In a Fun Twist

The usual iTunes-“Idol” partnership is getting a fun twist this season…

Beginning tomorrow, you can purchase downloads of your favorite performances (or you can pre-order them tonight). But beginning with the Top 12, the theme of each week’s show will be featured in advance on iTunes, along with playlists of original songs by the original artists from which the contestants may choose and which fans can preview and download.

Interesting, don’t you think? Although it might take a little suspense out of the song choices, it does kind of open up the process a little…
