Sanjaya Goes the Cheesy Reality Show Route

After writing a book and releasing a CD, it seemed like Sanjaya Malakar was going to take the straight and narrow route for his post-Idol career, but clearly that’s not the case now…

Sanjaya is among the cast of “I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here,” the NBC reality show which drops celebrities in the jungle in Costa Rica and puts them through all kinds of challenges to see who can survive.

The show has garnered a lot of press because of the participation of former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich.

The show premieres Monday, June 1st at 8 p.m. and then air almost nightly for three weeks. MTV will air marathons on Sundays.

I think he would have been better off to try to get on “Dancing With the Stars”…
