I actually wish this was a joke, but sadly it’s not…

In January, CMT will premiere “Gone Country,” a reality competition in which celebrities will be tutored by John Rich (Big & Rich) in the ways of country music. The contestants will live together in a Nashville mansion for two weeks as they compete in challenges involving the country music lifestyle.

One of the contestants will be Diana DeGarmo, who you may recall was the runner-up to Fantasia in season three of “Idol.”

Has it really come to this for her? I thought she was carving out a pretty good Broadway career for herself. Does she really need the humiliation of living in a mansion with Bobby Brown and Dee Snider of Twisted Sister?
