Getting Season 10 Off to a Rough Start

Let’s face it. The 10th season of “Idol” has already gotten off to a disastrous start…

As I reported yesterday, the big announcement of the new judges was going to air live via Ustream at 1 p.m. ET. But 1:05 came, and still nothing. And then, there was video, but no audio whatsoever. It was a total failure. And thanks to our new social media age, people were able to complain about that failure instantly.

Finally, 13 minutes into the announcement, we were able to get some scratchy audio. I’m sure the announcement as a whole will be posted on the “Ameican Idol” website, but that is not the point. We were all promised a live announcement and we didn’t get it. In my opinion, it was a disaster and a terrible way to start off the season.

By the way, we are still waiting on the press conference to begin streaming. I have no idea whether it will work or not…
