Nigel admits a mistake and takes a shot at Sanjaya...

During the Critics’ Press Tour panel for “So You Think You Can Dance,” Executive Producer/Judge Nigel Lythgoe, who is also an executive producer on “Idol,” admits he made a mistake not showing more of the “Idol” contestants’ personalities last season. “We certainly want to increase the emotional hooks for the audience next year. I’d like to know the contestants better.”

Lythgoe then proceeded to take a shot at last year’s most controversial contestant (Sorry Jim). “I’d like our top 12 to be strong[er]—at least as strong as the top 10 on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’…There isn’t a Sanjaya [in this group]. No one needs to alter their hair here”…
Now, why would Nigel take a shot at Sanjaya? Didn’t the ratings drop after he was eliminated? AND wasn’t it Nigel that gave Crying Girl that primo seat? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you…
