Kat Hits the Big Screen

Katharine McPhee is hitting the big screen…

Kat will make her feature film debut as the star of “The Last Caller,” an indie dark romantic comedy. The film is “a coming-of-age tale about a self-obsessed woman (Katharine) who searches for love, hope and meaning during a few random events with other urban seekers,” according to “The Hollywood Reporter.”

The film, which has a $5 million-$8 million budget, will start shooting in New York this fall.

Katharine said she’s up for some big studio projects, but they weren’t starring roles. “I wanted to start off doing something a little different. It’s something that a lot of people wouldn’t expect me doing…[It] is definitely a little darker than me”…
